Westport Workshop Method

Engineered tolerances down to the millimeter

Every stair run is mathematically calculated, digitally drafted, and fully pre-assembled off-site before touching your structural framing.

Crane-Ready Installation

High-precision spatial scanning maps existing rough framing, floor plate levels, and bearing walls to establish absolute baseline coordinates.

Custom tread geometry and structural stringers are cut on CNC routing beds, ensuring continuous load paths and precise rise-and-run ratios.

Solid white oak and black walnut components undergo multi-stage hand sanding, mortise-and-tenon fitting, and architectural finishing.

Entire assemblies are test-fitted in our Westport shop, broken down into modular engineered sections, and hoisted directly into structural headers.

Structural Integrity

Off-site pre-assembly eliminates field guesswork and structural settling.

Engineering Standards

Rigorous material selection and building code compliance

We source premium kiln-dried hardwoods selected specifically for stability and grain continuity. Every stringer calculation factors in live load deflection limits, uniform tread loading, and stringent coastal Massachusetts building codes.

By maintaining strict relative humidity controls in our Westport millwork shop, we eliminate post-installation wood movement, joint separation, and creaking over decades of heavy residential use.
